Any idea what this white thing is? About a month ago I thought I had spider mites and started using insecticide spray about once a week. It started turning somewhat yellow and then this morning I found this.

I don't really know but I did a lens search and it looked a lot like wasp eggs. So maybe they are the eggs of some insect that feeds on prickly pear. Just a thought like I said I don't really know.

It looks like some type of larva, idk. I’d definitely wipe it off and treat for pests/insects! Better safe than sorry, yk

Sometimes if there’s damage (scratch/scrape) the cactus will “bleed” and cause protrusions, but I’m not sure if that’s what it is. Looks like there’s a bubble beneath the white areas, makes me think maybe it got poked in that area?

Think it was larvae or something but sure. Got it off and sprayed with insecticide. Going to keep a close eye on it!
