      is it just a case of removing the affected soil or is the whole thing doomed 😩

      not sure, I don’t have much experience with seedlings, and it all depends on the type of fungus unfortunately as some can kill the plant. It does look like white mold though, so I would cover my mouth and nose and scoop out the top layer, seedlings should survive if they don’t sit in it for a long time 🥰 and since cinnamon is a natural fungicide, you can sprinkle some in the soil afterwards or use h202/water mixture do water after allowing the soil to dry thoroughly
