Hello! I got this Alocasia Frydek a few months ago, she started out fine. Now she’s lost all but one of her leaves. They kept slowly yellowing at the tips and then turning crunchy. I would appreciate any suggestions you have as to why this is happening. I can’t see any signs of pests.

Whats in your soil? Is that just potting soil?

I’d go with some coco chips and bark to make it more airy and chunky. The problem with potting soil is after time, it starts to settle at the bottom and get really compact, suffocating the roots. I’ve been growing this plant for a few years now but in Leca. I use to grow it in a chunky mix but switched over due to having to remove pups every few months. I like to make more holes on the side of pots cause some pots with drainage holes on the bottom get covered. Sorry for the rant. Check your roots and make a chunkier soil mix.

This plant was your size 8 months ago and has given me over 20 pups. I just pulled 8 corms and 3 pups yesterday.

It may just need to be acclimated to the new location, mine did the same when I got her but after all of them dies off I got 5 new leaves out of the stem I just let sit there. She’ll make a come back!
