Best insecticidal soap for dealing w mealy bugs?? This is a constant issue with my jade plants. I’ve tried diatomaceous earth and neem oil and just can’t seem to stay on top of them. They’re destroying this jade in particular and I’m trying my best to bring it back from the brink of death. I am an experienced plant mom with 50+ plants.

Sad to say but sometimes you just have to give it up and pitch the plant. I've had to do that with a couple over the years. It was just not worth bringing it inside to the other plants.

Are you sure those are mealy bugs. If so it is a severe infestation. Toss it. Systemic helps keep them in check. I try to use it on most of my plants.

Hmm, those white dots are on the pot and soil too, are you sure they’re bugs? It could be something harmless. Like once I had a hanging plant with white powder on the leaves but then I realized it was just drywall from the ceiling.

I rescued a mature jade plant with a fairly bad infestation of mealies, I had to do a big chop, unpotted her and gave her a thorough shower then pain stakingly went through and treated her with rubbing alcohol, then did a final pest treatment/spray and kept her separate from my other plants and she's doing well! Give that a try maybe? Shower, haircut, running alcohol and repot, I rinsed my jade's roots too just to make sure nothing was creeping around her root system 😊💚
