I’m not sure what’s going on with her! She was fine the other day, but now her leaves are turning yellow. I checked her soil and it’s moist, but not wet or damp. I do have her infront of a humidifier so could that be the reason? Please help!

Sunlight problem?
0 Mi piaceHow much light does Ellie get?
0 Mi piaceIt’s sitting in-front of a big window with the rest of my plants. It gets pretty good indirect sunlight, but I don’t know what sunlight she likes. I just bought it the other day 😔
0 Mi piaceHmm. That’s odd. Indirect sunlight is usually okay for alocasias. Maybe back her away from the window a little bit?
1 mi piaceI put her up a little higher so she doesn’t get as much light. I’ll see if that helps! Thank you!
1 mi piacesometimes the bigger leaves cover the smaller ones. i have a few on my monstera but they even out after a bit
1 mi piaceI didn’t think about that! I’ll try to move her and see if that helps!

0 Mi piaceAlocasias are finicky little hefflers that will act up for no reason. If she's new she could just be adjusting. If you had her for a while though could be lack of fertilizer. I found out that they're pretty moderate feeders so using a schedule to fertilizer [id use a gentle 1-1-1 fertilizer to be safe] Might prevent leaf drop
1 mi piaceThank you for the advice! I think I’ve only had her for about 4 days and she was perfect when I bought her. I’ll keep this in mind though!
0 Mi piaceShe looks perfectly fine. One yellow leaf is not a cause for panic….
0 Mi piaceOk
