I have a couple of the bottom leaves during this. Dr Planta told me that it's probably from being overwatered. It isn't. I've never had that auto diagnose thing get any problems right. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Any ideas? PS the purple tint is because it's under a plant light.

I'd say lack of light. Perhaps the plant light is not strong enough or too far away? I have the same plant and it had the same issue until I moved it directly into a window (+ plant light through the winter)

Unfortunately I have no window space left which is why I got the grow light.

The browning of the bottom leaves is making me wonder if the grow light is possibility burning it or the leaves have gotten wet recently and then got burned from being exposed to light before drying. Another possibility is a humidity problem. Has it recently been moved to another location? I’ve definitely experienced shock from my ficuses before if they were moved somewhere a little cooler. If you’ve lost quite a few leaves, you might wanna give the roots a check for rot, shock or other signs of distress. I had one tineke that I left in a bright windowsill for a week. Came back and found out we had a cold snap and just having it in the windowsill put it into a shock from that. The roots shriveled up from shock and I had to chop her in half to save her. I know some ficuses can be a little finicky that way, so I thought it ask to check, especially with tinekes. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I did move it from the window to under the grow light a little over a month ago because we rearranged the room. But I'll also take it out of the pot and check the roots. Thanks so much.

I would suggest a full spectrum grow light. The color spectrum grow lights are more hype than good. They may be beneficial to people doing seedlings but they would also be much stronger.

If you find that this grow light isnt strong enough try a different one! I have a somewhat weaker one for my Jewel Orchids but much stronger ones for my Lambs Ear & Birds of Paradise. I would recommend Sansi grow lights
