Surfside Seedling

This is what living in full Florida sunshine can do to you. Stay hydrated, my friends! 💦☀️ But seriously, the first picture is from 04/09 (6mo ago) & the next ones are from 09/24 (last week). I will confess to some negligence for a few weeks. Pair that with 90° weather with no rain, and here you go! The weirdest part though is that when I do try to water these, the soil is just about hydrophobic. Why is that? Are these even salvageable?

They are one of my favorites. Try bottom watering in a tray or bucket until water moistens the top soil. Move it into bright shade until it recovers and can take full sun again. Then, fertilize it. You may have to cut dead wood if it survives. 🍀🪴
