does anyone know what’s going on with my monstera :( he’s in a terracotta pot, with drainage holes, i got him about a month ago without all this stuff on his leaves. seems like he’s slowly dying and i would really like to AVOID that 😭😭😭

    This looks like overwatering. What kind of soil do you have this and are you allowing it to dry out between waterings?

      uhh, it’s just ground soil 😭 i haven’t been able to get potting soil for it. i follow planta’s watering schedule but i believe it does dry between watering.

      I would get this into a well draining, chunky aroid mix ASAP. You need to peep the roots to make sure nothing shady is happening 🤞🏻

      i went to check the roots and turns out there were two different monsteras 😭👍 i put them both in smaller, separate pots. 💀💀 i’ll start waiting longer to water them from now on

      I have three separate monstera plants in one pot! Its been pretty happy and I’ve had it for a few years, so I don’t think it should be an issue if they’re combined

      Little tip I learned. It goes give you loads of soil but it’s the best budget way. Buy 100 litres perlite 100 litres fine pine chippings And then pick up regular peat free soil from anywhere (like ones on offer) Works out WAY cheaper than buying premix 🙏🏼😊

    I find the planta schedule a bit wet for my monstera, make sure to check the soil dampness with your fingers before you water it

      yeah, i’m just gonna put him somewhere more sunny and start checking way more thoroughly 😭
