Any suggestions on what is plaguing my pink princess?? Just finished unfurling a new leaf and there some interesting discoloration. Older leaves show similar signs.

This is my nemesis plant. For 3 years I’ve tried to grow this plant with no success. I’ve had over 10 plants and all were the same. Tried everything. Nothing works. It’ll trick me by putting out a perfect leaf (me thinking we good now) then next leaf looks like it was attacked by thrips. Discolouring leaves, unfurling leaves. It’s non stop. I have 2 now that I just water and neglect. I’d like to know a solution too cause I like this plant, it shines in a sea of green.

Try adding silica when you water! I just started doing that and I feel like I have noticed somewhat of a difference but I haven’t had my PPP long enough to really tell, but I’ve been through some ish with it 🤣

There is an excellent article at love thatleaf.co.nz . It is titled The ultimate care guide for variegated indoor plants and how not to kill them. It's very informative

The princess line is a tragedy 😆 🤣 I have white, pink, black cherry, and orange galaxy. they often have wonky cataphyll's and get stuck in them. Causing mechanical scaring. When you see a new leaf mist the sh*t outta it till it opens. Im talking moring and evening!! Everything gets silica every watering.
