Help! I just noticed this white substance at the bottom of my terracotta planter, near the drainage hole. There appears to be white dots as well. Is it a pest or just mold? Thank you in advance! ❤️

I believe you are correct that this is a type of fungus. Some type of saprophytic fungi, maybe Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. Shouldn’t be an issue! You can wipe the pot down with a very diluted bleach/water mix. Just try to avoid the soil. Soil is likely just staying too moist. not enough air circulation or not enough drainage in the soil.

0件のいいねI’m pretty sure it’s mold you can spray with hydrogen peroxide and wipe it

0件のいいねthis is generally harmless to your plants - i treat it with a sprinkle of cinnamon when i see it to avoid chemicals. it works and won’t harm your roots/soil

0件のいいねI've seen a lot of others say this is just a fungus that can happen and that it's just a sign of heathy soil
