Hey guys!! This is my Chinese Evergreen, and it’s not doing too well :( It’s in regular houseplant soil, receiving indirect bright light. The leaves have fallen off, it’s turning brown, and the roots are very dry and brittle. Can it be helped?

Are any of the roots white and not brittle or squishy? I would take it out and repot it in chunkier soil. These plants are prone to root rot so you have to be careful not to drench it. Let us know how the rest of the roots look. It may be salvageable.

Also, is there drainage in that pot? If no, then that can contribute to over watering issues
