My banana tree plant has just one yellow leaf, but the rest are super healthy and even producing another big, vibrant green leaf each month. Why are the smaller ones at the base of the plants turning yellow and dying off?

Could be just an older leaf as new leaves comes in
3 LikesThat’s what I was wondering. Should I add some magnesium flakes on top during its next watering just in case?
0 LikesOverwatering when you over water any of your house plants a few of the leaves turn fully yellow. I would not water it unless the top 1 of soil is dry.
1 LikeIt’s on a regular water schedule. With its location it stays humid in the room so it gets watered once every 11-12 days depending on soil
0 LikesDon’t put your plants on a schedule for watering always check your soil with your finger or moisture meter. I check my plants on a schedule every Saturday just to make sure they are not in any stress however, I do not water them if it does not need it
1 LikeI do check every other day because I have a few other thirsty plants and have a few plants that take a bout seven day to get dry. I’ve just been consistently checking the banana plant and it takes about 11 days to get dry. She holds onto moisture greedily 😂

1 LikeWatch out for spider mites on your banana. I'm battling that with mine right now.
1 LikeShe gets new fertilizer, neem oil and magnesium flakes at least once a month. I’m trying to avoid the spider mites because I hate bugs. Which is ironic because I love gardening and plants 🙃🥴
