    It could be rot. Take off the pot and check the roots and the base for a rotting smell and mushy consistency.

    While you’re checking for root rot, I’d also check the root ball for rubber bands. I found that mine (from a big box store) had two that were squeezing the trunks. Hope yours bounces back soon!

      I actually haven’t checked the roots yet😬 wanted to monitor the plant first before I pulled them up so far two new buds have appeared and the tree seems to be ok

      I think it was due to me watering from the top

      woke up to this…definitely gonna repot her now that I know she’s still alive and thriving
