Help!! My plants keep dying. The dirt’s really hard, and I might be overwatering but I wait 7+ days in between and they look like they're wilting/are dry before watering. Plus, in the 2nd pic, the roots are kind of all scraggly and at the top. Is that normal? What can I do? 🍃 🪴

    I would definitely repot. Look at the roots & if they need more room, put in a bigger pot no more than 2 inches deep & wide than the size it’s in already. If the roots look okay & the size of the pot is good, just give it some new soil & then water afterward :) Since your soil is hardening, I would say you’re waiting too long in between watering- you don’t want to overwater but a good rule of thumb is to check the top 1-2 inches of soil. If it’s dry, water. If it’s still moist, you can wait a couple more days. As for the scraggly roots poking out, I would snip them off. Good luck friend!
