I’m thinking that maybe it was overwatered while you were away. How often do you usually water it?

Okay. I think it would have lasted without water until you got back from your trip. Since it was watered while you were away and that seems to be the only thing that changed, that could be what happened. I know with cat palms you’re supposed to wait until like the first inch of soil is dry before watering again.

Yeah, I think the watering reminders are good if you tend to forget about your plants. But if you’re mindful of them, I think prioritizing what they actually look like right in front of you is better than following the app because you’re there looking at it, not Planta. If that makes sense. If the app tells you to water but you touch the soil and it’s still pretty wet or you know your schedule pretty well, then err on the side of caution.

Also, how long have you had your plant? If any drastic changes were made right before or during your trip that could have affected the plant

i’ve had it for about a month now and there were no changes made that i know of it was just watered once while i was away 😬

Also, cat palms like humidity and low humidity can also contribute to the plant looking the way it does too

okay i see so water less and humidity should bring it back to life?

According to planta’s recommendations, it seems like a good start 👍🏼
