Hey !! So my Spider plants tips were getting that browning crispy look right so I searched etc etc and it said it can be because I was using regular water to water them and not filtered water. However, I switched to filter water 3 weeks ago and it’s still getting it. Am I doing something wrong ?? And also one of the vines they produced with a baby spider on it turnt burn at a certain spot too.
Filtered water is thru a faucet or pitcher filter, or RO system, or bottled distilled water. Not to be confused with bottled spring water. I don’t know which you are using but just an FYI.

I’m not very knowledgeable, but I don’t think boiling water does anything for plants. It does not remove the lime—or probably anything, except bacteria, which makes the water potable for human consumption.
1 j'aime As the other poster said, boiling doesn’t get rid of the minerals. That’s why I said no to spring water. Dracaenas have a problem with lime and maybe some other minerals.

Mine does the same thing but the plant is still perfectly healthy! I wouldn’t worry about it too much. You could try and increase the humidity if it bothers you.
