Hey y’all! I’m a relatively new plant parent and I just got this montesara 2 weeks ago. He’s been doing fine for the most part- has new leaf growth and seems to like the spot I’ve put him in. I’ve included some photos for context overall But I’m reaching out because I noticed this leaf in with the yellowing spot a few days ago and wasn’t sure what the problem is. Is this an infection, under/overwatering? The current pot it’s in has no drainage (the previous owners gave him to me in this and I haven’t reported into pot with drainage, so that could be the problem for sure)

If its just the little leaves that are yellowing its most likely just getting rid of the old leaves to have new, thats totally normal. I dont really see any signs of overwatering but definitely get in a pot with drainage, and make sure to let the soil completely dry out before watering again! :)

Thanks! Yeah I def don’t plan to water until soil is dried out a bit haha. It was mostly that one leave with the yellow sort of circle on it that concerned me but overall it does seem to be okay so maybe I’ll just keep an eye on it

It could also be a nutrient deficiency since it looks to be a bigger leaf. I don’t have a monstera so I am unsure of how to help it. Also, it is a beautiful monstera!!

It looks great for a plant in a pot with no drainage. I agree with Panic’s suggestions. Let it dry out completely, not just dry out a bit, before watering again. Change the pot before the next watering.
