My dad sent me a Calla Lily for my birthday. It arrived in the mail while we were out of town. As soon as we got home, we had to evacuate due to Hurricane Milton. We’ve just gotten home and I’m finally getting a good look at this plant. It looks like some of the petals are rotting, and what are these white things?! Can I save this Calla Lily?

Show the whole plant. Can’t make comment without seeing a better photo. Dab the white stuff with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to see if it’s mealy bugs, mushrooms or packing peanuts. Wipe off.

It looks better than I thought. The yellowing is loss of light while shipping or it was grown too close together at the nursery. Cut off just the brown parts. Clean off the potting soil with an old makeup brush to avoid adding excess water to the soil. Wipe off the rest with a damp soft cloth. The slightly yellowing leaves can stay to help with photosynthesis. 🍀🪴
