Should I be concerned about these tiny bugs in my prayer plant? What are they? What do I do? They are very small so I couldn’t get a good photo.

I also found some small mushrooms growing in the soil so I am thinking they may be fungus gnats. Thoughts?
1 me gustaMushrooms are indicators of healthy soil! I wouldn’t dump this soil if you’re having mushrooms. Draw back on your watering, move to bottom watering or water with hydrogen peroxide (my other comment below).

Is that effective? Planning to make a trip to Home Depot tomorrow

Yes. It has saved my prayer plant several times. I also use q-tips with alcohol to take any bugs off leaves and stems.
0 Me gustaHard to see the bug but if it is fungus gnats, I’d repot with fresh soil, try bottom watering for a bit, and/or water with a Mosquito Bits cocktail. It is designed to kill the larvae in the soil. Also make sure to remove any dead plant matter should it exist. This is what worked for me but I go to war with these plants if I ever see them lol.
0 Me gustaBest thing I’ve done is do one part hydrogen peroxide and two parts water when I water my plants. It kills the gnat eggs in the soil. Get sticky traps for the adults.

Thanks everyone for the help!!! I have watered with hydrogen peroxide, sprayed some insecticide spray that covers a variety of pests, and gotten some sticky traps. Diametaceous earth is my next step if this doesn’t work but after the insecticide spray last night I haven’t seen a single bug.
1 me gustaIf they are small, white and only jumping in the soil those are springtails which are another sign of healthy soil. Fungus gnats are black and can fly!
