Some dawn soap and water about 1:4 ratio in a spray bottle and spray the leaves. Or use neem oil I’ve heard
1 LikeYellow sticky traps only catches the adults while the eggs and larvae live in the soil. Search the posts. There are many posted over the years that address fungus gnats.

0 LikesMosquito Bits.. that’s what it’s called. In a bag at Lowe’s, Home Depot, possibly Ace Hardware.. you make a “tea” in your watering jug.

0 LikesI hear putting sand on top of the soil prevents them from laying eggs, might keep the next generation away
0 LikesI’ve tried all of these. None of them have worked for me. Last thing you want to do, in my opinion is anything that has to do with more water or keeping moisture in the soil (like sand/rocks…). Gnats are an overwatering issue. The only thing I have done that works is repot the plant with uninfected soil (if it’s crazy infested), use Bonide systemic at the next watering and add sticky traps. I’ve heard there are little bug lights that plug into your outlets that work fantastically well. Of course, that doesn’t address the root of the problem, but will help cut down on the annoyance in your house. I haven’t had much of a problem since I started following Planta care advice, so I haven’t invested in those yet. Good luck, those little gnats can make a person crazy!
