It doesn’t look too bad. Plants get packed together too close during transport, that’s the little scars and marks. With every new plant I allow them to acclimate then shower them down and treat with a mix of neem oil & dr bronners for pests. Once you’re ready to repot always check roots for rot. If rot is present (smelly squishy roots) remove all soil and spray roots with 3% hydrogen peroxide. For pothos use a “chunky mix” of soil or cocoa, perlite, and sphagnum.

Lovely! I thought it looked like a pothos, which shows I know very little, but those seem to me to be battle scars and now that it is safe with you and not in a shop, getting battered around, I bet the new growth will be healthy and strong.

it’s just mechanical damage. pothos will shine through it. you can prune it if it bothers you but it still looks healthy

actually don’t prune it. it will take valuable nutrients and surface area away from the plant

it’s literally fine. you seem like a new plant parent: do not overdo it. over worrying about your plants will kill them and stress you out for no reason. most plants on the earth are doing fine without any human interaction.
