Hey there! So I got this philodendron pink princess about 4 weeks ago ish. And she just bloomed this new leaf. Is it normal for the leaf to be brown on one side? It feels a little mushy, but could that be because it just sprouted and it’s not fully grown yet? This leaf also took a longer time unraveling itself than the other leafs being produced at the time. Please help! I have been rising the humidity every day, and making sure she gets some bright sun! I rotate her about every other week so each side gets sun ☀️ also, is there any way to make sure she gets more pink on her leaves?

It takes a few weeks for leaves to harden off and then it will be a darker green. The only way to get more variegation is by more light, how many hours of sun is it currently getting?

It’s in my sunroom…. Almost full light every single day for the whole day until nightfall.

Yep the new leaves definitely look brown at first, so that’s normal. It takes a few weeks for them to fully harden Seems like it has plenty of light so hopefully you’ll see more variegation over time, but it might take a while

I use a grow light to add more light but mine seems spindly. Hoping that pruning will help. Any other thoughts? I am about to re pot too. Thanks for any advice!
