Hi, we’ve been away for a week and once back we found this beauty in very bad shape. The leaves are falling off at the slightest movement! I haven’t given her more water as I know she’s picky and I’m not sure if this is a result of too much or too little? Any suggestions?

Hi there. I have had this plant for a year now and have had a lot of fun propagating it a few times as well. I have mine in a soilless succulent mix and it gets good east or west facing window with direct light for several hours. Based on the space between the leaves in your picture, your plant could also do well in an area with a more light. I water mine according to the schedule but I always check to see if the soil is dry. The soil in your picture does look dry, although it is a succulent, these plants do get thirsty, check if the 1st inch or two of the soil is dry, if it is, water it, I would also remove all of the dried leaves on the top of the soil. The new plump and undamaged leaves can stay as they will propagate on their own. The leaves are very fragile so they will easily fall if bothered too much.

Thank you so much! It is indeed very dry, and I’m thinking it probably didn’t get much light while we were away as well. Let’s hope I can bring it back to life 🤞🏼

You will! I would also trim all of the stems that are dried with little to no leaves on them.
