Hi yall! I adopted this chive plant from my husbands coworker, it’s growing pretty well but was wondering if there’s ways to make it fuller? The whole base of it looks dried but I don’t want to hack at anything that’s essential.

    I’ve not grown chives before, but my vegetable garden does appreciate compost. I generate my own compost in a tumbler and use that in the veggie garden. The tomatoes and herbs seems to love it. I don’t give them any other fertilizer. Good luck
