My peace lilies are growing, but have brown leaves a lot of the time. I trim them as close to the dirt as I can. Any idea what causes the brown leaves? Thanks

It may be from over/under watering

Also, I’m thinking that pot is big for your plant. That could be causing the soil to stay moist for too long and promote rot.

my peace lilies do this too. it has to do with consistent watering. and yes, I agree with Anna, your pot looks a little too big. I would check the roots. if the roots look good, I would put her in a pot that’s 1-2” bigger than the rootball/roots.

Thank you all! I never thought about the pot being too big. I’m not much of a plant person but these plants were from my mom’s funeral last year so I’m trying to keep them alive.
