Does anyone know what this discoloration indicates on my monstera? The front looks ok, but there's this large brownish stain on the back. It's smooth. Everything else looks fine on the plant. I just separated from a larger plant and no other leaves have this, the roots are good. It's been mainly outside.

Following because my Thai constellation has some of that, too. But I also just found thrips, so I wasn’t sure if they were related…?

Hmmm. I've spritz with some fungicide, that's why it's wet, but I'll look closer for bugs.

Not an expert, but this looks like a fertilizer burn. Either you put too much or it wasn’t diluted enough. I could be wrong.

I recently fertilized when repotted a couple weeks ago. So, that makes sense. I did a quick search about fertilizer burns. Found some sites recommending not to fertilize too close repotting also, so that could the issue. It's weird the others I separated/repotted didn't suffer this too - although truly thankful they didn't. So, I'll check the roots, these sites did say they could be burned too and then freshen the soil. New lesson learned. 😀
