How much humidity is it getting?? How have you been caring for it so far?
1 gillaI water it once the soil feels dry enough. For humidity, I didnāt do much except misting it sometimes.
0 gillningarI just read they require a lot of humidity so Iām going to get a little mister from Amazon
0 gillningarMake sure to only use filtered water, distilled water or conditioned water. I got a fish tank conditioner on Amazon and add a few drops to my water and my calathea are doing very well.
2 gillningarOkay I have used only tap water so far and I have heard this same advice elsewhere as well. So I thonk I should start doing this. Thank youš
2 gillningarThey love distilled water and lots of humidity. But it doesn't look bad to me.
1 gillaThank you I will try my best to maintain these conditionsš. I was really concerned because the leaves look really dry.
2 gillningarYour plant is still looking pretty good so this should be a successful fix. As others have said, curling leaves is a moisture issue. Either from underwatering or low humidity. Misting will do little. A little personal humidifier really wonāt do much. Plus youāll be refilling many times a day. If you are running A/C all the time, your house is dry. I have same issue. Get yourself a humidistat so you have better idea how much moisture you have. With A/C itās probably in the 20ās. You need at least 40%. Get yourself a room size humidifier. Fill it once a day and your other tropicals will benefit also. Mine puts out 6 liters a day.
