Hi! Does anyone know why parts of my aloe have started bending? A few are also so long they’re touching my table. Is this okay or do I need to support it somehow? Thanks!

I’d say as long as the leaves aren’t mushy the sagging is just from the weight. Mine is doing the same thing at the moment and I have plans to repot after this cold snap comes through.

With aloes, bent leaves are more likely to be a result of overwatering. I’d first check the soil and see if it has any dampness to it by sticking a toothpick all the way in and leaving it there for 1 minute; it it comes out with any dampness or soil clinging to it, the soil still has moisture and it’s probably dealing with some overwatering. If it comes out completely dry and if it’s been more than 6 weeks since you watered it, it might actually be underwatering. I’d also increase the amount of light it receives if you don’t already have it in bright light; aloes are sometimes marketed as low light tolerant plants but they actually do best in something like a south facing window.
