Hi - my rubber plant has browning on almost all the leaves. It’s spreading to the new leaves as well. I read it could be potassium deficiency, but not sure. The soil is pretty dry, but I watered it 8d ago. And the bottom drainage hole is a little damp, but no sign of mold. Any idea what could be wrong?

I noticed a big difference in mine once I got it on a fertilizing schedule. I had lots of browning leaves and dropping leaves. I probably water mine once a week when it’s inside but right now I put it outside during the day so it pretty much gets watered every day.

I have four of these Tineke rubber plants; they are easily one of my most favorite plants! When I bought my first one, it had browning on the bottom portion of all its leaves. I had no idea what it was and like you, I searched everything, but haven’t really found an adequate answer. I think maybe it had something to do with over fertilization in its earlier growth period, when merchandisers are trying to make their plants look gorgeous for consumers and fertilize the heck out of them. But I don’t know that for sure. What I did do was remove all the bottom leaves that were brown and pretty ugly and bought three juvenile Tinekes and transplanted all of them into a large pot. (So far, no more browning, but I watch it like a hawk!) They’re so beautiful and I’m very happy with this outcome! I’ll send a pic with this so you can see. Plus I’m going to keep tabs on this conversation and see what kind of info you get. Maybe I’ll find a definite answer. Good luck! 😊💚🪴

Here’s a pic of my Tineke before I removed her damaged leaves. You can see the dark marks on the lower leaves. To me, it looks similar to yours. Regards! 😊💚🪴

Just as an aside, I know that Tinekes have average water needs, meaning they don’t like to get too dry nor do they like to be too wet. Same with sunlight; mine do fine in a spot where they don’t get a lot of bright sunshine. However, they’re still putting out new leaves and often! Plus, I don’t think it appears to be a fungus. I know that wasn’t my plant’s problem. Hope this helps! 😊💚🪴
