About a week ago, I planted several cuttings from my pothos directly into soil. I’ve been watering when soil is dry (every 4-5 days?) and the pot is on my windowsill. Recently, a few leaves have been turning yellow, then brown. Anyone know why, and how to fix it?

If they are fresh cuttings I would keep the soil more moist than normal to help them develop roots. Once they’ve routed then you could back off the watering.

4-5 days is a lot for a pothos. I water mine about every 2 weeks

a pothos should really never be watered that frequently! water when all of the soil is dry. use a chopstick or skewer to check the moisture of the soil. like a cake test, put the chopstick in the soil and if the chopstick comes out dry, water the plant thoroughly, letting the water drain out of its drainage holes. if the chopstick is wet, wait to water. if you let soil is actually dry in 4-5 days after watering, you’ll need to repot with some fresh soil.

Sometimes cuttings just don’t make it. Usually but not always the leaf will be sacrificed. Just watch for mould. Remove the stem if that happens
