I was checking on my wandering Jew and I seen these little tiny bugs run out of pot can’t get a pic of them does anyone know what it might be?

Hey there, what do the bugs look like and are they on the leaves? Also, just to be courteous of others, given the meaning behind that name, it’s best to call it either tradescantia, wandering dude, or inch plant or spiderwort or there are lots of members here that actually give names to their plant babies too!

It would be GREAT if nurseries and growers stopped labeling these plants inappropriately as well 🧐
4 Mi piacei feel like it’s getting better and i’m seeing it less but yeah agreeee 🥴
5 Mi piaceRight? Like why so archaic, just a simple change and edit of the name lol
4 Mi piaceWhy is it bad calling them wandering Jew? that’s what I call mine
1 mi piaceWell I’m glad yall want to focus on a name instead of why I posted I don’t care about a name it’s a label and don’t matter these little bugs are on the soil not the plant can we focus on what’s wrong with my plant please ?
2 Mi piacelol wow you’re pleasant
3 Mi piaceWe were trying to help you, just making a side note about how to not offend certain people by using a different name. I’m quite sure if some botanist decided to name a cactus “wrinkly nagging Karen” some people would take offense to calling it that in passing.
2 Mi piaceWell if they considered themselves a Karen I guess but still everyone focused on a name and no help for my plant

You didn’t ever actually answer the question Alyssa posed in the FIRST sentence of her response……and then doubled down on “not caring” if you use an offensive term. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
1 mi piaceWe're using the name "Tradescantia" for these plants in Planta and any discussion about it's previous common names is not relevant. "Tradescantia" is both botanically accurate and respectful, referring directly to the plant's genus without any problematic/hateful associations. This is a great spot for the love of plants - let's keep it that way 😊
