Hi, I have a String Of Hearts and recently it has been tiring from a bright green to more of a dull green with purple aswell. I know bright light can affect the leaves and they turn purple but I'm unsure if it is that. I also have been using Keiki paste on the nodes and I'm unsure whether that has affected it. Can anyone help?? Thank you!

Are these before and after pics? If you’re noticing the leaves “fading” it could be a bit too much sun?

It looks good to me! Nice leaf spacing, they look firm, consistent size. Same question as Tantalizea - is it a new plant?

Ok thank you! No it's not new, I've had it 3 months and it consists of a few different plants. When I first brought them they were a bright green but I'm wondering if that's because of the lack of light in the garden centre?

Maybe that or they were just new right? Maybe not totally hardened off? What you’re doing is working! It looks great. Soon it will be flowering, making you laugh and making a mess 😂

Thank you, It was trial and error. I normally pinch the flowers off to give the plant the nutrients as the flowers are kind of pointless. Why would they make me laugh?

It looks normal to me. How long have you had it?

About 3 months but it's a mix of 2-3 plants that I brought

It might be a case of bright leaves for new growth and they take on the purple colour as they mature. I think it’s a natural colour change.

Ahh like over the years? Not as in the shoots of new growth?
