I have a philodendron birkin that is putting out a new growth but it’s brown. I did rescue it from walmart cause it was sitting in water. I did repot to 1 park soil, 1 part orchid bark, and 1 part chunky perlite. Any tips? Could it be from me moving it and giving her a shock from repotting?

Did you repot when before the new growth was out of sheath ? That could be the issue

I have a white wizard with a new leaf that looks exactly like this. I moved the plant from an east window to a west though, so I’m chalking it up to stress from being moved. I think it’s likely the same for you. Keep an eye on it and see how things go. If the next leaf looks that way you could investigate further.

It could be the stress of being repotted and moved. Give it a few days to see if she recovers from the shock. Happy gardening!👍🏼
