Hi friends, My ivy leaves are becoming dry and turning brown. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong but I would appreciate any feedback. I already killed an ivy plant in the past and I’m determined to keep this thing alive.

Check for pests like mealybugs (white cottony bits), thrips (black or white bits) and spider mites (fine webbing). There could be some pests on or under the leaves based on the first picture. Check watering issues or low humidity conditions. These can cause the leaves to die off.

Thank you there’s actually this cotton like substance covering the leaves. What is that and how can I get rid of it?

i see some webbing on one of the leaves in the first picture so im guessing spider mites. make sure to isolate from any other plants you may have. you can find neem solution recepies online - spray down the whole plant thoroughly, making sure to get under the leaves. keep it out of direct sun for a day or so after application, as neem can cause the leaves to burn more easily. after treating, you can also chop an prop if most of the top leaves are dead, mine grew really well in water :) good luck!!

White bits with legs could be mealybugs. Wipe down with diluted isopropyl alcohol to remove. Neem oil is not that effective on mealybugs. White bits without legs could be fungus (powdery mildew). Fungus grows well on decaying plant material. Wear gloves and remove all decaying or dead materials to prevent spreading mold and pests. A commercial fungicide can stop fungal growth.
