Hello! I saved this Croton Mammi from a clearance shelf in Lowe’s, and was wondering what’s up with it. It was perfectly fine when I got it, but now it’s droopy. What do i do?

They have a higher humidity need, so it might be in shock from the move. Do you have a means of giving it more humidity (humidity tray, humidifier, humidity cabinet, etc.)?
いいね 1件I also always check the roots and check for pests when getting any new plants, especially from box stores. Always worth ruling out when a new plant is acting up.

いいね 1件No problem! I’ve spotted them at my Lowe’s lately, and knowing their track record with plants, I was just internally screaming because I know crotons can be difficult plants, and ones that box stores really have no business selling at the start of the FALL 😂 please don’t feel like it’s your fault if the croton gives you trouble, is all I’m saying. And from my experience with Lowe’s plants, they’re often potted in the wrong soil, pest infested, overwatered or placed in self-watering pots, you name it, so just give it a good inspection before bringing it in around your current plants. I quarantine any new plants I bring in for 2 weeks after repotting, checking the soil, and using insecticidal soap and neem oil on the top of the soil and leaves as a preventative pest treatment. Hope this helps! Good luck! 😉
いいね 1件Probably needs reporting if its in the original container from the shop, usually come error bound especially clearance pants

0件のいいねUsually with crotans it’s a humidity thing and or watering thing so keep your eye on both.
