Don’t give up. When I saw my friend’s aloe, I thought it was a goner for sure and it’s bouncing back. She wasn’t giving hers enough water or light. . If the aloe needs some water it'll normally get a little wrinkly so that's how I tell when to water aloe plants. Sunburn: Excessive direct sunlight can cause browning, especially if the plant is moved suddenly from a shady to a sunny location. Temperature changes: Aloe vera is sensitive to sudden temperature drops, and temperatures below 50°F can cause browning. Overwatering: Overwatering can lead to soft, mushy brown leaves. It's best to let the soil dry out completely between waterings. Underwatering: Thin, curled leaves and brown tips can also indicate the plant is thirsty. Pests and diseases: Pests can cause discoloration, particularly in plants that are already unhealthy. Soil issues: Soil that retains too much moisture can cause root problems, leading to browning. Using a well-draining mix, like one with perlite, is recommended. Natural stress: Browning can also be a temporary stress response to environmental change.
