Hey everyone, Can someone tell me what’s going on with my monstera🥲😭. I repotted her into a self watering pot from naked root and I gave her some fertilizer but these spots started appearing out of nowhere. She only gets direct sunlight in the morning so I don’t think it’s burning and the roots looked healthy, no rotting. Please help😭

no root rot yet doesn't mean it's not getting too much water. these look like overwatering spots to me. i don't think a self watering planter is good for thai cons, i have had zero success with a self watering pot for mine and i had to change it before it started rotting.

I have my Monstera mint in the same set up! In a 5 in pot! They like it tight! If u lift the pot and the bottom soil is still wet hold off on water. My monstera Thai constellation is in an 8 inch pot. I couldn’t fit her in the 5 inch pot her I have to be conscious to not overwater because I’ve done that before in the past and her variation is the first thing that went to give me signs.

Wow they are beautiful thank you for letting me know! Should I down size then? The root ball was pretty big and fit in the 5inch pot perfectly

If the root ball fit perfectly in the 5 inch I would leave it in there, but just know that you have to decrease your water and I bet you they bounce back

I hope so! Should I cut off the leaves that have the holes forming or will it begin to fenestrate on it’s own?

I personally love all of my leaves that have a defects like that. I remind my plant that I love it just the way it is! lol fenestrations happens as new leaves come in on your plant 🪴 gets older.
