Money Tree:I believe I overwatered this plant. It was thriving until I moved it into a new pot about 8 months ago. It didn’t have drainage holes. I made some holes with my drill and also added clay balls under the soil to help with drainage. The last photo is how it looks now without all the dying leaves. Can this be saved? I am new to this so please be gentle.

Don’t worry this is a judge free zone! I’d maybe try and get rid of the brown leaves so it can focus on new growth.

Appreciate it! This was a gift 2 years ago and I really want to keep it alive!

I’ve repotted my money tree in a flimsy plastic pot once which was a mistake so I didn’t water it for a few days and then pulled the plant out of the plastic pot and the soil in the bottom was stuck behind so I emptied all of it out and put paper towels on the roots and repotted into a thicker plastic pot.

I don’t think new leaves will grow from the bare stems leftover. If you cut down to above a node it should stimulate growth to branch from there. Here an example from my money tree named Bucks.
