Hi there, This is my first post šŸ˜€ I’ve had this Philodendron for years (not exactly sure what kind it is). Recently the lower leaves are browning. The plant also seems to be droopy. Do you have any ideas as to what I can do to revive this plant?

This looks like maybe a Green. If a plants kinda stalled out on me, I will usually unpot to check the roots. If it looks fine I'll leave it. If it looks crowded/root bound I'll cut back like 25%. Obviously remove and dead or mushy and treat with peroxide if that's the case. And then I will add some Mycorrhizal around the roots, and fertilize it

Thank you! I removed the plant from the pot and the soil was quite wet. I will ensure better drainage. There was no rot so that was good. Can I cut off the affected leaves?

Yea, you can either fully cut them, or just trim off the brown bits. Kinda personal esthetic thing. I usually trim, just because if it's not progressing, that portion of leaf that's green still helps makes chlorophyll
