Any idea why my baby rubber plant is starting to yellow at the bottom leaves? She’s been a super easy plant and doesn’t seem temperamental. I have her under a grow light, water when dry, roots look good and doesn’t need a repot. Is it normal to lose the bottom leaves at once?

    Not an expert, but to my knowledge, many plants once they mature they decide to lose their older leafs and focus in growing new ones on the top. You can compare it to trees, tye most they grow the les leafs they have around their main trunk

      Completely agree with Chris on this. I absolutely love peperomias and have had quite a few, including your type of obtusifolia. The oldest leaves can start to yellow with age, especially if this is an older plant of your. I gently twist them off when they get really yellow on mine. Don’t think you’ve got anything to worry about 😊
