Think I lost my mind a little today. Took every single plant (there are many) out of the greenhouse, wiped every single leaf down with neem and watered through mosquito bit tea with neem bc I’m over this infestation and summer hasn’t even set in good yet. I went through at least 2lb of leca and tossed out so much soil, but I’m willing to do anything to rid myself of the things! I still have one greenhouse I didn’t get to after working for about 10hrs nonstop. I’ll wake tomorrow rinse and repeat. Gut the greenhouse and start chucking soil, washing roots and leaves and repotting. Maybe two days of rage purging will be the ticket. At the end of tomorrow, I will have repotted 77 plants

Oh! She’s trying to climb too it looks like. Chunky soil and a moss pole. Bright indirect. Top inch dry… and lots of love!

I also see a lot of new growth happening so I would wait to re-pot 💯. Let her settle in and “give birth” and then see where she’s at pot size wise. She’s probably going to finish losing those two leaves. Let her do it naturally. Those new leaves trying to emerge will soak up the needed nutrients and she will shed those out. Definitely I would take a look at her roots when she is ready and make sure everything underneath is healthy.

She looks like a golden to me, but the leaves are a bit more narrow, sort of Philo looking. Still think golden pothos though, which do you see?

I’d normally never repot something actively adding new growth but so much of the root system is above ground and VERY dried out and brittle

Hi there, I found that transitioning my indoor plants to LECA didn’t get rid of fungus gnats though it did reduce the population a bit. My current method is using Vectobac liquid in the nutrient solution (bacteria that eats the larvae) and yellow sticky traps throughout the pots to get the adults and stop them from reproducing. Hope that helps!

Def doing the combined method, bit tea, nematodes, H2O2, and yellow sticky traps. Just added soil dump to the list bc they are driving me batty

Also, repotting 77 plants in one go sounds like a nightmare. I feel for you in a big way. If you’ve been transitioning your plants literally all in one go, prepare for some loss. I find that not all plants will happily transition from soil to LECA without some struggle. For at least half of my plants I had a transition in water + nutrient solution only for a few months.

Not all in leca, but a great deal of the ones I should have always had in there anyway, but I am sure you’re right and I’ll lose a few.
