I’ve been having a problem with my velvet philodendron Gloriosum. It was doing really well for a while. I recently moved and the sun lighting kind of changed. I have him in a decently. Lit room he was getting very big so I repotted him in the pot he currently is in, however, he has been getting worse and I’m not sure how to fix it. I don’t see any pests and he is on a watering cycle. I had him on a Moss pole but took him down because I read they prefer to hang hoping that would help it unfortunately did not. I love this plant and I’ve had him for a little while so I’m just curious if there’s any tips or advice that could help, I would very deeply appreciate it.

I don’t have this specific plant but I repotted my arrowhead plant a couple months ago after getting it because I thought I noticed roots growing out of the bottom of the old pot and it has never been the same since, the leafs are drooping and turning yellow, I did some searching and someone said that plants can get kinda traumatized after being repotted so maybe that’s what’s happening to this guy. It could also be that the leaves are old and it’s just time for them to go. I would say if the roots looked fine while repotting and you haven’t changed your schedule, give it some more time to adjust. Also maybe consider fertilizer if it continues to not improve. My orchid was very droopy and sad but once I started fertilizing, it perked up within a week. Hope this helps!

Thank you so very much. This was very helpful. I’ll definitely give it a little more time and see if that helps. I was aware of the trauma when repotting it to add my recent move. It probably wasn’t a good idea to repot it. I truly thought that was the problem and now I’m dealing with this. But thank you so very much ^.^

What's your fertilize schedule fir this? Or did you recently before the yellowing?

It was yelling before this since my move, but it’s around the time where I do need to fertilize my plants so I will definitely do that in the next few days coming up. I do fertilize my plants based on planta’s schedule give or take if the soil isn’t too damp. :)

I think this may just be an old leaf. Its not yellowing in a way that'd indicate overwatering. It looked more fertilizer/potassium deficiency. But if you usually fertilize on planta schedule that's probably not it. They only other thing besides just old leaf would be maybe spidermites
