Hi everyone, I hope your day is going well. I was hoping to get some help with this plant. When I first bought it, the leaves got the spots on it not too long after I bought it. Since then, it's had many new leaves and I cut off the old ones now the new leaves are getting these spots. It is by a humidifier, and I let it dry out at least 3/4 of the way before I water. Planta says that it is possibly overfertilization. I use a liquid fertilizer that is supposed to be used with every watering. .05 mil. to half a gallon. I'm hoping to get a second opinion. Thank you in advance 😊

I have same plant. And like you soil is pretty much dry before I water. From the looks of the leaves, it looks like a humidity issue. Do you know what your humidity level is? Mine is next to a room size humidifier running 24 hours a day. And by this time every year I will start having some dried out edges. Percentage is at 50%. When the heat is running less it will go up to 60%.

The humidity level is usually between 40 to 45%. But it does sit right below the humidifier so I would think that would make a difference.

But, it is kind of close to a heater vent also.🤔Maybe that's the issue. Perhaps I should move it 😬

That is a good sized humidifier. Very similar to mine. If the heating system fan is on a lot, that probably disperses the moisture air too much. Try a humidistat for a more accurate reading where your plant is. I have a couple that record the history of the readings. And completely contrary to what I always thought, humidified air rises. So you could try a little riser.
