Bought & moved into a house recently, like two weeks ago. And moved all my plants here, they were having a grand old time with all the extra windows & space. And, because of the heat wave & food, I have ants. Working on getting rid of them, but not they’re infesting the soil of one of my plants in our kitchen window, but just one of the seven. My guess is because the drainage hole is more accessible. I’m going to spray the pot down with neem oil to get them to leave, move the plant to a new location so the ants get “lost,” and wipe down the counters with soapy water. Should I do anything else to prevent their return?

You should find their entry point inside and spray ant insecticide as a deterrent. Spray around the outside of the window if they are coming in through the window. The best way to clear them is to locate the ant mound outside and sprinkle Spectracide granules on it per direction.
