Hi! Will this help kill fungus gnats?! đ©
Just get some neem oil and spray the top layer of soil VERY heavily. Repeat every 2 days and theyâll go away.

1 LikeI can't speak to that product but having just dealt with an outbreak that's now under control I did two things - bought those bright yellow sticky traps that you insert into plant soil (I put one in every large plant & changed them out frequently. Gross yes, but it takes care of the adults. Then i bought "Mosquito Bits" on Amazon which are granules you put on top soil of plant & water in. They contain a natural bacteria that kills the larvae in your soil without hurting the plant.
4 LikesThis is what I did, also, and itâs been working well. Those yellow sticky traps are amazing and also catch flies. I am also hoping they will get mosquitoes. I have been using the mosquito bits to water all my plants as future prevention.
3 Likesfingers crossed. i am now putting out traps and they're pretty much clean. and the annoying thing is I sprayed every plant's leaves and soil with Captain Jack's Neem Max which clearly did nothing. It's Bits for me going forward.
2 LikesGood luck! I was so worried Iâd be overwhelmed with gnats but it seems to have solved the problem.
1 LikeSearch âgnatsâ in the main âpests disease and problemsâ community page and see the post from Alba with a pic of Microbe-lift. You can get the droplet bottles on Amazon and use one drop per gallon with every single watering. It will kill the larvae. Good luck! đ
1 LikeMicrobe-lift is what I used when I had exceedingly bad break out of fungus gnats. Because plants all have different watering schedules, it took a while to water all of them with the Microbe-lift, and kill off the fungus gnats. It does take time, and patience, but this product does work. Try it, and I promise, youâll like it⊠Good luck!
2 LikesPS. I forgot to mention it is extremely easy! All you do is put a little bit of this stuff in your watering can. I still do it to this day⊠Just as a preventative!
2 LikesThatâs why I use it. Iâm all for making things it as easy as possible, and the dropper bottle makes it a super easy application. I had a bad infestation last year, I was putting blue plug-ins and yellow stickies all over my plants and house. This was the only thing that fully eradicated the infestation, and yes, it took a few weeks.
1 LikeHopefully people will read this, because this is the easiest, and best way to get rid of fungus gnats. Iâve tried everything, including yellow sticky butterflies, which drove me absolutely bonkers when they stuck to my hair, my sleeves, my hands, everything! How annoying! Iâve also used Zevo traps, and others just like Zevo, but at this point, theyâre just a monitor, so I can see if there are any of those little guys around. So if youâre reading this, and you have those nasty little GNATS, donât do the sticky traps, or the mosquito bits⊠they just wonât do the complete job! Please, stick to the Microbe-lift⊠You wonât do any better than this!
2 LikesPS. Do you think I should get paid for this commercial⊠đ?!
4 LikesNeem oil or get systemic granules and put in your soil
0 LikesAgree with earlier comment about traps and mosquito bits, but I make a âteaâ with the bits/dunks (some places arenât allowed to purchase bits). I drop a dunk in a gallon of water and let it soak for 24 hrs and water my plants with it and refill the container. I donât like leaving the bits in the soil bc they got moldy for me. I also keep it in the fridge since I heard some peopleâs âteaâ can get moldy with hot temp Use it every time you water for 30 days but honestly it doesnât hurt the plants so I use it almost everytime I water now. I have a mosquito light so I use that instead of traps and they wonât catch any during the day but at night, they swarm to it
0 LikesI had left bits in the soil and yesterday I noticed mold on a few. Iâm going to have to take them out. Glad that you said this so I know what is going on.
1 LikeSystemic granules are amazing for indoor houseplants. I donât use them outside because they will kill pollinators.

Ive been doing the sticky yellow traps/tea bits method for years - it works but I hate it. My family complains about the house smelling like farts ( the tea I make in batches and store in old milk jugs , then use everytime I water.) The process is messy too. Im trying Microbe lift since I read this. Ill post how it goes.
1 LikeAs I said earlier, I promise youâll like it, because Microbe-lift does work! Iâm glad youâre changing products.
