I need a Begonia expert! 😭 I bought an imperfect box from a plant store that had random types of plants in it. In it was a very sad Begonia melanobullata. I felt like it was overwatered. Possibly to help during transit so I’ve not watered it since it arrived over a week ago and it seems pretty damp at the bottom still. It only seems to have gotten worse and the leaves are going black and crispy 😭 i don’t know what to do to save it, if i even can, every leaf is like this. My cabinet sits at around 60%humitity. The only thing I can personally think of that it doesn’t like, is the grow light? Any recommendations? This is my first begonia and probably the only one I’ll ever have. I REALLY WANT TO SAVE HER.

They like bright indirect light. I think it's your humidity. These do way better in a terrarium with 80%+ humidity. When I got my ferrox it went through a big shock, lost 2 leaves. But I set her up in my greenhouse and she's doing better now. I mist her daily in the greenhouse too

I may have to get a dome up then because if I go any higher with the humidity, mould starts up in the cabinet. I struggle to find decent domes anywhere 😞

If you can find a big enough ziploc, just start there 😆 🤣 i get the 2gal ones from the restaurant supply. They're a nice back up to have. Until you can source some glass or acrylic
