The tips of my dragon tree keep browning and eventually the leaf ends up falling off, what can I do to help this? Is this normal? Can I help her be a bushy green monster?

They’re crunchy, I tried watering her less and waiting for the soil to dry out completely, she just doesn’t seem happy. I’m going to drill some holes in the bottom for drainage if you think a thorough watering would do the trick?

oh yeah youre definately gonna want drainage - you can probably slide the plant and most of the soil out a few days after a watering. this will also let you check to see if the roots are healthy or circling the pot.

I have been researching these as it was a new plant for me (Dragon Tree at work, Kiwi at home). With it being winter and the heat on more, it may need more moisture. You could try misting the leaves or using a humidifier. I do wait until the soil is dry before watering and these are sensitive to chemicals in tap water. I add a water conditioner and allow mine to sit for 24 hours before using. In these months I mist at least every other day.
