Hi everyone! I need help…my alocasia silver dragon is dying. Its leaves are shrivelling, turning brown and falling off. The leaves are very very dry but the soil is wet. I am just confused as in the past when I had dry leaves it was that my plants needed water or if they were over watered they had like saturated leaves. This is just throwing me off and I need help. This is my first alocasia and I don’t know much about them so any tips are appreciated!

Alocasia can go dormant so that could be a reason. Browning leaves can actually be an indicator of overwatering too, I don’t keep alocasia but they do well in self watering pots so they can determine how much water they want. They also like pretty high humidity! They can be sensitive to tap so filtering or buying distilled might help in the future. I would let your soil dry out, remove all the dead leaves and try to up your humidity. Make sure it’s not getting any direct sunlight or put by a vent
