i’m at a loss for what’s happening or what to do to help my dracaena fragrans. over the past few weeks the leaves have progressively started to turn brown and brittle, one stalk has no leaves left. i have checked the roots and they are all still healthy, i have tried to move it to different lighting with no luck, and i only water when soil is basically dry. any advice is greatly welcome and appreciated.

I never had that happen to my corn tree, but I’d check for pests, really closely, and the roots for rotting. How do you water her? The pot doesn’t look like it has drainage. I take mine out of the decorative pot every two weeks, put it into the sink and water well until the water comes out from the bottom. I found corn plants to have small root systems so it may be that the plant wasn’t receiving much if you watered little

i checked and there was no rot, the pot does have drainage so maybe i wasn’t watering enough?

Aloha Plant Life on Youtube has a long but helpful video for diagnosing plant problems titled “Master the Language of Houseplant Leaves.” You can just skip to the section about browning leaves.

I'd try a bigger pot. Looks kinda small for all those roots. Probably drinking all the water fast due to the pot size.

Maybe not enough light. My has a grow light and it just thrives!
