What is wrong with my albahaca plant. It was doing very well and all of the suddenly almost all the leaves became ill.

Hey! There's a possibility that it's because of pests, like aphids, fungus gnats, or spider mites. I suggest using neem oil, which can be used as a natural pesticide. 🙂

1 likeOk I will. It probably does. I keep it outside because of no room inside. Thank you

0 likesHi, those trails look like they were made by caterpillars. Check the leaves and squish them, they have most likely burrowed into the leaf and are possibly still in there

1 likeLeaf miners. They chew the layers of the leaves and leave their larvae inside the leaves. The larva tunnels through the leaf as it eat. Use a flashlight to shine light from underneath to see the larva wiggling at the end of the tunnel!😬. I would cut off everything that looks chewed or have tunneling marks. There is insect poop on those leaves as well. Basil grows back quickly. Spray water on the rest of the undamaged plant if you plan to eat it later to remove debris and poop. Avoid pesticides. 🪴🍀
3 likesThank you. I will remove all the damage leaves today and water the rest. Thank you for the advice.
1 likeI was cleaning and removing the bad leaves and checking the underside of the leaves and not sure, but I think that I found what is eating my albahaca. Does anyone know what it is?
